I am participating in the Applied Community and Economic Development program (ACED) pursuing my Master of Political Science. Before attending ISU, I attended the University of Minnesota, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in urban studies, an interdisciplinary major. During that time, I participated in the program Higher Education Consortium of Urban Affairs (HECUA) and interned with the affordable housing developer Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative as well as All Parks Alliance for Change. After graduating, I served in a regional outreach role as an AmeriCorps VISTA with a Rockford-based housing counseling organization called HomeStart. When I finished my service, HomeStart hired me as its leads and marketing coordinator. I am interested in identifying and reducing barriers to safe, decent, and affordable housing. In my free time, I enjoy running, drawing, and exploring the outdoors.
